What is Trim Video?
Cut a precise segment out of any video without re-encoding the rest of the file. The trimmer uses stream-copy when possible (instant, zero quality loss) and falls back to frame-accurate re-encoding only for the boundary frames. Enter times in hh:mm:ss or scrub on the timeline.

Common use cases
- Pulling highlights from long meetings / lectures
- Creating short clips for social media
- Removing intros / outros / ad breaks
- Extracting interviewable soundbites
- Building demo reels from longer footage
Troubleshooting
- Output starts a few frames before the requested time
- Stream-copy trims snap to the previous keyframe to avoid re-encoding. Enable "frame-accurate" mode to re-encode the boundary for exact timing.
- Times entered in seconds get rejected
- The input expects hh:mm:ss (or mm:ss). Type 00:01:30 for 1m30s, not 90. The format matches the player's timeline display.
- Audio glitch at the start of the trim
- Audio frames don't align perfectly with video keyframes. Re-encode with frame-accurate mode to clean up the boundary.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, trimming uses lossless cutting when possible, so the quality of the remaining clip is preserved.
